OMG WORK IN PROGRESS
This lovely gal is my reference. www.deviantart.com/art/Sing-me…
Playing around and trying out a bunch of different brushes, blending tools, etc in MyPaint. Pressure sensitivity on my Wacom device is hard for me to control at this point, so perhaps just picking a range of flat values and disabling pressure sensitivity will help me a bit... With this piece I'm attempting to work with values and lighting a little more and get more comfortable with it, as opposed to linework. Lots of my fellow Trainees are starting to do it, so I'd definitely better hop on that band wagon, too.
Please let me know what you guys think so far.
To Rob: I'm probably much too late to submit this for my zeal commitment to the Lightening and Form focus last week, but I have been working on it off and on since the beginning of last week. If it's no deal, then it's no biggie. I could have at least submitted what I had so far back then... You paint, you learn.

Cool, I love how the blurry lines on the outside sharply put the face in focus. I had no idea you had such a knack for portraits, this looks a lot like the model you used!
